Numéro de catalogue: (BOSSBS-3826R-A680)
Fournisseur: Bioss
Description: Core component of nucleosome. Nucleosomes wrap and compact DNA into chromatin, limiting DNA accessibility to the cellular machineries which require DNA as a template. Histones thereby play a central role in transcription regulation, DNA repair, DNA replication and chromosomal stability. DNA accessibility is regulated via a complex set of post-translational modifications of histones, also called histone code, and nucleosome remodeling.

Description: Cyclin E is a regulatory subunit of Cdk2 and controls G1 / S transition during the mammalian cell cycle. Multiple isoforms of Cyclin E are only expressed in tumors but not in normal tissue, suggesting a post transcriptional regulation of Cyclin E. In vitro analyses indicated that these truncated variant isoforms of Cyclin E are able to phosphorylate histone H1. Alterations in the Cyclin E protein have been implicated as indicators of worse prognosis in various cancers.

Fournisseur: Bioss
Description: This gene encodes a member of the gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) family, which are important in the metabolism of glutathione. The most ubiquitously expressed human GGT gene, GGT1, encodes a single transmembrane polypeptide that is post-translationally processed to form a heavy and a light chain. In contrast, the product of this gene only contains homology to the light chain region, and lacks a transmembrane domain. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified.

Description: In cooperation with other chaperones, Hsp7s stabilize preexistent proteins against aggregation and mediate the folding of newly translated polypeptides in the cytosol as well as within organelles. These chaperones participate in all these processes through their ability to recognize nonnative conformations of other proteins. They bind extended peptide segments with a net hydrophobic character exposed by polypeptides during translation and membrane translocation, or following stress-induced damage. In case of rotavirus A infection, serves as a post-attachment receptor for the virus to facilitate entry into the cell.

Description: eNOS is a calcium/calmodulin dependent enzyme which undergoes several post translational modifications, including acylation with myristate and palmitate, and phosphorylation on numerous residues. As with the other members of the NOS family, eNOS derives the diffusible multifunctional second messenger NO from L arginine through a series of reactions in which L citrulline is an intermediate. eNOS plays an important role in controlling vascular tone, platelet aggregation, and cardiac myocyte function.

Description: Osteocalcin belongs to the osteocalcin/matrix Gla protein family and constitutes 1 to 2% of the total bone protein. It is a 49 amino acid single chain vitamin K dependent protein, made by osteoblasts, and is a major component of the noncollagenous bone matrix. Post translational modification by a vitamin K dependent carboxylase produces three gamma carboxyglutamic acid residues at positions 17, 21 and 24, giving it a high affinity for calcium. It also binds strongly to apatite.

Fournisseur: Corning
