Dans cette expérience, les étudiants recherchent les coliformes dans une simulation d'eau contaminée à l'aide de réactifs colorés et fluorescents. Ils peuvent utiliser ces mêmes réactifs pour tester des échantillons d'eau prélevés dans l'environnement. Ils peuvent ensuite effectuer une coloration de Gram sur les échantillons prélevés.
