Description: When blood films are stained using Wright-Giemsa Stain, the white blood cell nucleus and cytoplasm take on the characteristic blue or pink coloration. The combination of purified eosin and thiazine dyes in the product eliminates inconsistent staining and yields reproducible chromogenic responses.

Description: In hematoxylin-eosin staining (H&E), the most widely used histological staining technique, nuclear staining is achieved using ready-to-use staining solutions, such as Mayer’s hemalum solution or Hematoxylin solution modified according to Gill III. These solutions do not need to be filtrated prior use and the dye is oxidized in a controlled manner, which renders the results robust and allows a brilliant differentiation of the stained structures. Counterstaining of i.e. for proteins, collagen, keratin, intercellular substances. can be performed with alcoholic or aqueous Eosin Y solution 0.5 %. It is registered as IVD and CE certified product and can be used for clinical diagnostics.

Description: Erythrosin B, also called as eosin B, is a xanthene dye. It belongs to the family of fluorescein dyes. It plays a major role in inhibiting dopamine uptake and high affinity 3H-ouabain binding and ion transport in synaptosomes from rat caudate nucleus. Erythrosin B has been used as a dye in fluorescence lifetime imaging.

Description: Wright′s Stain solution is commercially available and is generally used in hematology. Its preparation involves heating methylene blue with sodium bicarbonate and combining the mixture with eosin. It is alkaline, hence, its concentration is continuously changing due to the progressive oxidizing action of the alkali. Therefore, Giemsa′s stain is added to preserve the azurophilic properties of polychrome dyes.

Description: The combination of azure A and silver staining is used for the quantification of glycosaminoglycans in agarose gels. It is also used for the staining of chromosomes in the nucleus. Azure A is a main component of the azure B/polychromed methylene blue-eosin stains family, also referred to as the Romanowsky stain. Azure A is a basic cationic dye.
