Description: Capases are a highly conserved family of cysteine proteases and are synthesized as inactive zymogens, which are cleaved at Asp-x sites during apoptosis, generating large and small subunits that heterodimerize to form the active enzyme. Caspase-1 is a member of the ICE/CED-3 family of caspases and is detected in the pro-form as a protein of 45 kDa.
Caspase-1 generates the bioactive form of the pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-1β from its biologically inactive precursor. Overexpression of caspase-1 in cells induces apoptosis, which can be inhibited by cytokine response modifier A (CrmA). Caspase-1 mRNA is predominantly expressed in the spleen and lung and to a lesser extent in skeletal muscle, kidney, testis and heart and within these tissues macrophages preferentially express caspase-1. Caspase-1 deficient mice have no gross abnormalities, however, macrophages from caspase-1-deficient mice are defective in IL-β processing and release.

Description: IL-13 is an immunoregulatory cytokine secreted predominantly by activated TH2 cells, as well as mast cells and basophils, and is a key mediator in the pathogenesis of allergic inflammation. The human IL-13 receptor (IL-13R) is a heterodimer composed of the interleukin-4 receptor a chain (IL-4Rα) and an IL-13 binding protein, IL-13Rα1.A second IL-13 binding protein, IL-13Rα2, has also been identified, which is believed to act as a "decoy" receptor. IL-13 receptors are expressed on human B cells, basophils, eosinophils, mast cells, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, monocytes, macrophages, respiratory epithelial cells, and smooth muscle cells. However, functional IL-13 receptors have not been demonstrated on human or mouse T cells.

Numéro de catalogue: (ENZOALX804551C100)
Fournisseur: ENZO LIFE SCIENCES
Description: CHOP is a small nuclear protein that is capable of dimerizing with transcription factors C/EBP α and β. Once dimerized, this complex inhibits the normal binding and function of C/EBP to classical binding sites. Inversely, the C/EBP-CHOP dimer gains binding activity to other non-classical C/EBP stress related targets.
Under normal cellular conditions this protein is not expressed in detectable levels, but is highly unregulated during times of cellular/ER stress. Examples of CHOP inducing stress include: treatment with tunicamycin, nutrient starvation and reducing agents that interfere with the calcium flux across the ER membrane.

Fournisseur: ENZO LIFE SCIENCES
Description: The CD14 glycoprotein, gp 55, is present on most monocytic and macrophage like cell types: monocytes, macrophages, Kupffer cells, pleural phagocytic cells and dendritic reticular cells. CD14 is also observed on granulocytes and activated or transformed B-cells. Furthermore CD14 is present in a soluble form in human serum, urine and other body fluids. The CD14 molecule has been reported to be a receptor for endotoxin.

Fournisseur: ENZO LIFE SCIENCES
Description: Lysosome-associated membrane proteins (LAMP1 and LAMP2) are type I integral membrane protein that are transported from the trans-Golgi network to endosomes and then lysosomes. Following activation of platelets, T-cells, neutrophils, or endothelium, LAMP1 and LAMP2 are expressed on the cell surface. Cell surface LAMP1 and LAMP2 have been shown to promote adhesion of human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) to vascular endothelium, and loss of LAMP2 expression is associated with impaired autophagy observed in Danons disease.

Description: GroEL and GroES are <i>E. coli</i> chaperonins, which are homologs of mitochondrial chaperonins Hsp60 and Hsp10. GroEL is a double toriodal assembly of 14 identical subunits which form two heptameric rings stacked back-to-back, with a cavity at each end. GroEL and its co-chaperonin GroES facilitate protein folding with an ATP-dependent mechanism.
