Description: This gene belongs to the chemokine-like factor gene superfamily, a novel family that is similar to the chemokine and the transmembrane 4 superfamilies of signaling molecules. This gene is one of several chemokine-like factor genes located in a cluster on chromosome 16. Alternatively spliced transcript variants containing different 5' UTRs, but encoding the same protein, have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].

Description: The Maxi ExW 'Revolution' offers built-in buffer recirculation- without the need for pumps or additional tubing. The Maxi ExW 'Revolution' offers the same high throughput, rapid separation as the Maxi ExW model but, with the position of the cathode and a rising tube, the system uses hydrogen bubbles to slowly mix the buffer. This system thereby avoids the build-up of pH or ionic gradients for electrophoresis of maximum quality and stability.

Description: The Hox proteins play a role in development and cellular differentiation by regulating downstream target genes. Specifically, the Hox proteins direct DNA-protein and protein-protein interactions that assist in determining the morphologic features associated with the anterior-posterior body axis. The mammalian HOX gene complex consists of 39 genes that are located on 4 linkage groups, which are dispersed over 4 chromosomes. HOX genes that occupy the same relative position along the 5’ to 3’ coordinate (trans-paralogous genes) are more similar in sequence and expression pattern than adjacent HOX genes on the same chromosome. HoxC6 sequence-specific transcription factor is part of a developmental regulatory system that provides cells with specific positional identities on the anterior-posterior axis. HOXC6 may be a novel potential therapeutic target for prostate cancer.

Numéro de catalogue: (BOSSBS-11505R-CY3)
Fournisseur: Bioss
Description: The protein encoded by this gene is part of a complex that is involved in membrane trafficking. The encoded protein is a molecular chaperone that aids in protein folding upon ATP hydrolysis. This protein also plays a role in adipocyte differentiation. Defects in this gene are a cause of Bardet-Biedl syndrome type 12. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.

Description: The protein encoded by this gene localizes to the inner mitochondrial membrane and catalyzes the conversion of glycerol-3-phosphate to dihydroxyacetone phosphate, using FAD as a cofactor. Along with GDP1, the encoded protein constitutes the glycerol phosphate shuttle, which reoxidizes NADH formed during glycolysis. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Jan 2010].

Description: Cholinephosphotransferase catalyses the final step in the synthesis of phosphatidylcholine by the transfer of phosphocholine from CDP-choline to diacylglycerol. The synthesis of phosphatidylethanolamine by ethanolaminephosphotransferase occurs using an analogous reaction. This gene codes for a choline/ethanolaminephosphotransferase. The protein can synthesize either choline- or ethanolamine- containing phospholipids. Two alternatively spliced transcripts encoding the same isoform have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].

Description: This gene is a member of the brain expressed X-linked gene family. The proteins encoded by some of the other members of this family act as transcription elongation factors which allow RNA polymerase II to escape pausing during elongation. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011].[SUBCELLULAR LOCATION] [PTM] [SIMILARITY]

Description: Cell adhesion molecule that plays a role in neuronal self-avoidance. Promotes repulsion between specific neuronal processes of either the same cell or the same subtype of cells. Mediates within retinal amacrine and ganglion cell subtypes both isoneuronal self-avoidance for creating an orderly dendritic arborization and heteroneuronal self-avoidance to maintain the mosaic spacing between amacrine and ganglion cell bodies. Receptor for netrin required for axon guidance independently of and in collaboration with the receptor DCC. In spinal chord development plays a role in guiding commissural axons projection and pathfinding across the ventral midline to reach the floor plate upon ligand binding. Enhances netrin-induced phosphorylation of PAK1 and FYN. Mediates intracellular signaling by stimulating the activation of MAPK8 and MAP kinase p38.
