Description: Rif1 (also known as telomere-associated protein RIF1 and Rap1-interacting factor 1) is a mouse ortholog of the yeast Rif1 family of telomere-associated proteins identified on the basis of its high expression in primordial germ cells and embryo-derived pluripotent stem cell lines. Mouse Rif1 is a protein involved in negative regulation of telomere length. It is also localized to ATM dependent DNA damage foci and may act at the chromatin level to allow access to some factors.

Description: The human Mel-CAM gene maps to chromosome 11q23 and encodes a trans-membrane glycoprotein, also designated MCAM, MUC18 or CD146, that belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and functions as a Ca2+-independent cell adhesion molecule. MUC18 expression is restricted to advanced primary and metastatic melanomas and to cell lines of the neuroectodermal lineage, but not normal melanocytes. MUC18/CD146 is found on 80% of advanced primary human melanomas and correlates well with development of metastatic disease.

Description: Methionine Aminopeptidase 1D (METAP1D) is a mitochondrion protein that belongs to the peptidase M24A family. METAP1D is overexpressed at the protein level in colon cancer cell lines and colon tumors as compared to normal tissues. N-terminal methionine removal is an important cellular process required for proper biological activity, subcellular localization, and eventual degradation of many proteins. METAP1D is also active with zinc, manganese or divalent ions. It may also play an important role in colon tumorigenesis.

Description: UROP11 Antibody: Upregulated obese product 11 (UROP11) was isolated from subtractive library for mouse hypothalamus. It is detected in numerous tissues and is upregulated in the hypothalamus and adipocytes in obese mice. UROP11 is also observed in human neural and lymphoid tissues; its expression appears to be regulated by the level of lymphoid activation. Urop11 expression is strongly upregulated both in vivo in mouse hypothalamus and in vitro in mouse neural cell lines after treatment with leptin, indicating Urop11 is a target of leptin activity and thus may play a role in obesity.

Numéro de catalogue: (PRSI55-915)
Fournisseur: ProSci Inc.
Description: This gene is a member of the DNA polymerase type-X family and encodes a template-independent DNA polymerase that catalyzes the addition of deoxynucleotides to the 3'-hydroxyl terminus of oligonucleotide primers. In vivo, the encoded protein is expressed in a restricted population of normal and malignant pre-B and pre-T lymphocytes during early differentiation, where it generates antigen receptor diversity by synthesizing non-germ line elements (N-regions) at the junctions of rearranged Ig heavy chain and T cell receptor gene segments. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms of this gene have been described.

Description: GDNF family receptor alpha-2 is a glycosylphosphatidylinosito l (GPI)-linked cell surface receptor. It is part of the GDNF receptor family. Glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) and neurturin (NTN) are two structurally related, potent neurotrophic factors that play key roles in the control of neuron survival and differentiation. GFRA2 mediates the NRTN-induced autophosphorylation and activation of the RET receptor. It also able to mediate GDNF signalling through the RET tyrosine kinase receptor. It acts preferentially as a receptor for NTN compared to its other family member, GDNF family receptor alpha 1.

Description: CD28 is the critical T-cell co-stimulatory receptor which provides to the cell the important second activation signal by binding CD80 and CD86 that are expressed by antigen presenting cells. Besides its co-stimulation role, CD28 functions in preventing T-cells from anergic hyporesponsive state or from undergoing premature apoptotic cell death. CD28 is also expressed on human fetal NK cells and some NK cell lines, whereas on murine NK cells the CD28 expression is much broader.

Description: Protein jagged-1 (JAG1) is also known as Jagged1, hJ1, JAGL1 and CD339, which is a single-pass type I membrane protein containing one DSL domain and 15 EGF-like domains. JAG1 is widely expressed in adult and fetal tissues, the expression of JAG1 is up-regulated in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and also expressed in bone marrow cell line HS-27a.JAG1 is a ligand for multiple Notch receptors and involved in the mediation of Notch signaling. JAG1 is involved in early and late stages of mammalian cardiovascular development. JAG1 inhibits myoblast differentiation by similarity and enhances fibroblast growth factor-induced angiogenesis (in vitro).

Description: Adipophilin belongs to the perilipin family, members of which coat intracellular lipid storage droplets. This protein is associated with the lipid globule surface membrane material and maybe involved in development and maintenance of adipose tissue. It is not restricted to adipocytes as previously thought, but is found in a wide range of cultured cell lines, including fibroblasts, endothelial and epithelial cells, and tissues, such as lactating mammary gland, adrenal cortex, Sertoli and Leydig cells, and hepatocytes in alcoholic liver cirrhosis, suggesting that it may serve as a marker of lipid accumulation in diverse cell types and diseases.

Description: IL-34 Antibody: Interleukin-34 (IL-34) was identified through a functional screening of a library of secreted proteins after transfection of an embryonic kidney cell line with recombinant cDNAs. Flow cytometry and monocyte viability assays demonstrated increased survival and/or proliferation of monocytes induced by IL-34 and specific binding of IL-34 to CD14+ monocytes. IL-34 is a second ligand to the colony stimulating factor (CSF)-1 receptor in addition to CSF1. Like CSF1, IL-34 stimulates phosphorylation of ERK1 and ERK2 in human monocytes and induces differentiation of bone marrow cells into macrophages.

Description: Beta-actin Antibody: Actins are highly conserved proteins that are involved in cell motility, structure and integrity, processes that are crucial for tissue development and the development of organism. The actin cytoskeleton is one of the principal drivers of cell motility and is capable of responding to complex signaling cascades. Recent evidence suggests that it may play key roles in regulating apoptosis and aging. Beta actin is one of six different actin isoforms which have been identified. Like GAPDH, beta-actin is constitutively expressed at high levels in almost all tissues and cell lines making it ideal for use as a loading control marker in immunoblots.

Description: Natural Cytotoxicity Triggering Receptor 3 (NCR3) along with NKp44 and NKp46 constitute a group of receptors termed “Natural Cytotoxicity Receptors”. They play a major role in triggering NK-mediated killing of most tumour cells lines. NKp30 is a type I transmembrane protein having a single extracellular V-like immunoglobulin domain. NKp30 is selectively expressed both in resting and activated human NK cells. In addition, NKp30 is also involved in NK-mediated induction of dendritic cell (DC) maturation. It has been demonstrated that NK cell activation signalling specifically induces lytic activity against several tumour cell types and synthesis of new NF-κB dependent proteins during the initiation of cytotoxicity.
